Slipcovered means the fabric on the sofa base, as well as the sofa cushions, are removable and cleanable. Upholstered sofas & chairs have fixed or loose cushions and the fabric is adhered permanently to the sofa frame. Slipcovered and shabby chic are not synonymous but the idea of COMFORT/WASHABILITY  is key. Slipcovered pieces today almost look upholstered. They can be as relaxed or as fitted as you like. The whole idea is they clean easily as well as change out the entire look of your seating pieces. Have you ever gotten rid of a perfectly good upholstered sofa because of the stain or the fabric went out of style? We offer so many pieces that fit any decor that last through the years and trends.

We have a furniture line that is essentially ORGANIC from our Island Collection. Any piece from this collection can be upgraded to IG-organic.  It is the ultimate choice for natural healthy furniture. It is uniquely smart, healthy, responsible, alternative method of building furniture made entirely from FSC Woods, Natural Latex, Jute, Hemp, Wool, Organic Feathers and Down. These natural materials are not only superior in terms of comfort and lifespan, but are inherently flame retardant without the use of chemicals. You can then choose organic cotton for a slipcover that can be washed with an all natural detergent!

Patterns stay on file, so no matter the time frame, we can order an extra slipcover and ship it to your home. You may choose a fabric from the original collection, use a fabric you found (known as COM- Customer's Own Material). The lead time is 3-6 weeks, depending on fabric availability. 

Most slipcovered pieces take anywhere from 4-10 weeks or less depending on the time of year. Starting around major holidays, the lead times may take longer. We do offer quick ship sofas and sleepers with some of our lines. They typically come in a select fabric, fill and cushion count, but as with all our slipcovered pieces, you can order a second cover.

Yes! The great thing about sectionals is that our collections offer a wide variety of configuration possibilities. So you can have a U-shape, L-shape or one long linear sectional. One side can be a chair, a chaise, one arm love seat or sofa, then a corner piece in an L shape or hexagon, then the other side can be a mirror image or one of the pieces from the other side. We recommend working with a designer when it comes to the sectionals so that you have exactly the pieces and the direction of the sectional that fits in your space. Sectionals link together with concealed connectors so the pieces do not slide around.

Absolutely! We offer a wide variety of performance fabrics like Crypton.TM  that are stain resistant and soft as combed cotton. So invite the whole family, including your pets, onto the sofa and bring a glass of red wine - not a problem!!

If you are worried about heavy use and staining on slipcovered pieces, we typically do not recommend adding a chemical spray to protect the fabric, instead, try one of our fantastic performance fabrics with stain repellent and stain resistant properties are 'built-into' the fabric itself as opposed to a chemical spray that has a funny smell, requires reapplying and takes a long time to dry. We offer Sunbrella, Crypton, Inside Out and Breathe fabrics in our slipcovered lines. These performance fabrics are very different that yesteryear's polyester-blends. They are soft, luxurious and machine washable!
