We love the Holidays! We are getting ready to decorate and make it the best year yet! It's simple to bring that holiday feeling into each room in the house, with little touches.....natural materials like greenery,  pinecones and wood are our favorite ways to do that.

Starting with the great room, of course the focal point is the Christmas tree.  Decorating with favorite ornaments and including natural materials like jute Ribbon. A long standing tradition in our family is to sprinkle the tree with dried Baby's Breath. It look almost like snow and quite delicate...a beautiful accent to any tree. Filling a wood bowl full of ornaments and greenery and mixing in a thin string of battery operated lights...a gorgeous accent and inexpensive to do.  Adding in gold accents in the ornaments and garland give the room a warm glow and sparkle..

F.A.Q

How do I make my beach style home more cozy for the Holidays easily?

Just adding the holiday decorations will warm your rooms up, but swapping out your summer pillows for rich textured pillows in creams and deeper tones of red, rust or Forest Green will transform the feeling of the room. Even some rich plaids will be a festive addition. Don't forget to add lots of cozy throws too.

How do I keep the branches used in decorating my home fresh throughout the Holidays?

Keep the rooms cool so the evergreens last longer and mist them with water every week. Evergreens are pretty hearty and they should last well for the Holidays.
