Cozy Cottage By The Sea
A cozy cottage by the sea is what dreams are made of. Create that feeling in your home with simple and easy touches no matter where you live. Authentic vintage finds creates a sense of history.
Thoughts of a Sea captain's home nestled into the windswept dunes, beautifully imperfect!
There is something about a cottage by the sea that is both nostalgic and life-renewing. It's about the history of all the families who lived there and enjoyed it for generations and it's also about giving it new life to be enjoyed again. If you are lucky enough to find an old beach cottage or if you just want your home anywhere in the country to give you that feeling...there are numerous ways to achieve that. Think back to the things you loved as a child. Was it the books on your grandmother's shelves, the antique washer, the wildflower garden or the smell of fresh baked bread. Recreate that in your own life to then pass down to your children to cherish.
Little Touches Of History
"In nature, nothing is perfect and everything is perfect. Trees can be contorted and bent in weird ways, and they are still beautiful." - Alice Walker
Welcoming Accents
IT's the little things that count! The small details add up to a big impact. Warm, cozy throws, the glow of a brass accent lamp, a stack of well-loved books, candles in festive scents, a bowl of fresh-picked apples, warm bread baking in the oven. Think of all your favorite things and incorporate them to make your home your Sea Cottage oasis. A cozy hideaway inspired by your favorite memories.
