The game of Solitaire is reputed to have been invented by a nobleman confined in the Bastille prison during the early years of the French Revolution. The game is played with 36 marbles. The object is to eliminate all but one marble, which should ideally end up in the center of the game board. French finished game board on a small pedestal.

This is only a 1 player game. The game starts with all 38 marbles outside of the field, leaving the empty hole in the middle of the board. To play, simply jump one marble over another and place it into the tray. Continue jumping over the marbles until there is only one marble on the field, preferably the center.
