Favorite Recipe for Mussels with Wine and Garlic


Serve this simple dish with linguine or by itself with crusty bread.

This is an all time favorite recipe that's fast and easy, but delicious. Perfect over pasta with crusty bread or by itself. It is festive dish and great any night of the week. 


Ingredients

2 Tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil

4 Cloves Minced Garlic

1/4 Teaspoon Crushed Red Pepper

4 Pounds Cleaned Mussels

1/2 Cup White Wine


Method

Add Olive Oil to heavy bottomed pot on medium heat. Add Garlic and Red Pepper and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant, but not browned. Add the Mussels, stir and turn heat to high. Add the wine and cover with lid. After 2 to 3 minutes stir the mussels and recover. Continue to cook until all the mussels are opened, around 6 to 8 minutes. Stir the chopped parsley into the mussels. Serve on cooked linguine or by itself with crusty bread.
