Kubu rattan is a species of Rattan that grows abundantly and wild in the lush Indonesian forests of Borneo (Kalimantan), Sumatra Island and many other areas. When it is allowed to dry out it is white to beige in colour. It can be naturally stained using mud to reach the lovely soft grey color known as Kubu grey.
