Cleaning Care: Fabrics that are Code S or SW must be spot cleaned with solvents (dry clean only). You can spot treat stains with a water-free solvent or dry-cleaning product. Use solvent cleaners in a well-ventilated room and keep away from open flames. Avoid using cleaning products containing carbon tetrachloride, as it is highly toxic.

Regular rotation of slipcovers will help to increase their lifespan. We recommend using a soft brush while vacuuming to remove dust. Note how the cover is located on the item when removing to replace it the same way. The cleaning code will determine the method of cleaning, and it may be necessary to dry clean. To remove the slipcover for machine washing, take one arm off and work toward the back of the frame and then to the opposite arm. The seams of the slipcover are surged and overlocked to help block fraying. We recommend zipping all casings before washing. IF using a slipcover fabric that is machine washable, one may use the gentle cycle. Clean the slipcover in cold water with a mild, low-enzyme detergent, and be cautious not to overfill the capacity of the washer. Tumble dry for around three minutes on low heat and then resume the tumble dry with the air cycle. Once cleaned, place the slipcover while slightly damp on the frame starting at the back of the structure and continue from arm to arm. Clean all parts of the slipcover to avoid any color difference.

** Multiple slipcover fabrics are not recommended for machine washing. Store the slipcover in a cool, dry area, and make sure to keep out of direct sunlight. Before storing the slipcover, wrap it in a lightweight sheet or muslin cover; this will help air circulate and keep the slipcover dust free.

Slipcover Care

Before removing the slipcover for cleaning, be certain to note how the cover is applied so that you can recover correctly. If the slipcover fabric is dry clean only, it is recommended that you use a professional dry cleaning service. If machine washing is recommended, remove the slipcover from one of the arms of the piece and work around to the back of the frame and to the opposite arm. The seams on your slipcover have been surged and overlocked to prevent fraying, but we recommend zipping all cushion and throw pillow casings before washing. Using the gentle cycle on your washing machine, wash the slipcover in cold water with a mild detergent. Be careful not to overload the capacity of your washer. Tumble dry for three minutes on low heat, and then continue to tumble dry using the air cycle. Return the slipcover, slightly damp, to the frame starting at the back of the frame and working from arm to arm. Clean all parts of the slipcover to avoid color variation. Machine washing is not recommended for multiple fabric slipcovers. When storing slipcovers, place in a cool, dry area, out of direct light. Prior to storage, wrap in a light weight white sheet or muslin cover to help air circulate and keep dust free.
