10 ways: To get your coastal space ready for guests
Soon guest will be visiting your home, The Crew at Our Boat House has some tips to make their stay as pleasant as possible.
1. Guest essentials
Make sure your guests have everything they need. In case they forgot a toiletry make a drawer or basket full of items they may need. Supply bathroom products like toothpaste, an extra razor, a fresh bar of soap at the sink and in the shower, shampoo and conditioner are the basics.
2. Block the light
It may just be a matter of adding a simple roll shade to make sure your guests get the privacy they need and won't be awakened at the crack of dawn.
3. Warm your guests
To keep your guests comfortable on cold nights, make sure they have ample blankets and an extra quilt on the bed.
Hosts often overlook the need for an alarm clock for guests because they haven't slept in the room themselves. Not all guests like to sleep til noon.
Flowers on the nightstand, dresser, or bathroom vanity add a touch of nature. In the winter, clip a branch from an evergreen for holiday cheer. Extra touches like this will make your guests feel special.
Providing reading light allows your guests to get lost in a book before bed.
7. Relaxing reading spot.
If your guests have a nice spot to retreat to in their rooms, they'll be more tempted to hang out there a bit and stay out of your hair when you need a little me time.
Living out of a suitcase on the floor is a drag. Empty a drawer for your guests to make the feel at home.
9. Hang ups.
Give your guest a few hangers in the closet so not all their clothes are wrinkled.
Provide big white fluffy hotel style towels for your guests. Supply pool towels and bath for their stay.
